- What is property styling, exactly?
- We furnish and style a home so it photographs well and feels like somewhere you'd want to live. That can mean working with what's already there, adding a few key pieces, or furnishing an empty property from scratch. The goal is the same either way — a buyer walks in and can picture themselves living there.
- What does it cost?
- Occupied consultations start at $350. Partial stages start at $1,800 and full vacant stages at $2,500, both covering the length of a standard campaign. Every quote is written after a walkthrough, because the price depends on how many rooms are involved and what the house already has. These are starting points, not fixed prices.
- How long does the furniture stay?
- A standard hire period covers a typical campaign — around six weeks. If the property takes longer to sell, the hire can be extended; we'll agree the rate for that up front so there are no surprises.
- How far ahead do I need to book?
- As early as you can, ideally two to three weeks before photography. Styling is the last thing to happen before the shoot and the first thing to get squeezed when a campaign moves quickly. If you're working to a tighter deadline, ask anyway — it can often be done.
- What areas do you work in?
- Melbourne and its inner suburbs, the bayside corridor, the inner east, the Mornington Peninsula, Geelong and the Bellarine, and across north-east Victoria and the Murray — including Yarrawonga, Wangaratta, Benalla, Rutherglen, Beechworth, Wodonga and Shepparton. If you're outside these areas, get in touch and we'll let you know.
- Do I need to move out for it?
- No. Plenty of homes are styled while people are still living in them — that's what an occupied consultation is for. We work with your furniture, suggest what stays and what goes, and bring in pieces where they're needed.
- What happens on the day?
- We arrive with everything, install and style the rooms we've agreed on, and leave the property ready to photograph. A full stage usually takes most of a day. You don't need to be there, though you're welcome to be.
- Is the furniture insured?
- Yes. The pieces are covered while they're in the property. We'll walk you through what that means and what's expected of you during the hire period before anything is delivered.
- What makes your inventory different?
- Every piece is vintage or thoughtfully sourced rather than bought in bulk. No warehouse of identical grey sofas. It means no two homes we style look the same, and it's the reason the rooms feel collected rather than furnished.
- Does styling actually help a property sell?
- Buyers decide quickly and they decide on feeling. A styled home photographs better, holds attention longer online, and gives people something to picture themselves in. We can't promise a number, and you should be sceptical of anyone who does — but presentation is one of the few things about a sale you can still control.
